A Whole new level of entertainment

Picture the year 2018. The Eagles finally won a superbowl, Elon launched a car into space for some reason, and Monty and Kerri Lockyear were devising a plan to create something new. Something unique, something active, and above all, something social.

After pairing their vision with a variety of activities, it became clear that nothing fit the bill like pickleball. It’s a sport that only takes a few minutes to get familiar with, promotes an active lifestyle, and one where socializing is encouraged, even if it’s mostly trash talk.

Then all their vision needed was outrageous events, extra entertainment, chef-crafted food, and uniquely curated cocktails. So y’know, we added all of those next, and then bam, Smash Park was born. A place where you can create your own experience, and get a new adventure every time you visit.

Smash Park’s first location was in West Des Moines, IA in 2018 and since then we’ve opened new venues in Roseville, MN and La Vista, NE with Westerville, OH and many more locations to come! So now that you know our story, why don’t you come in and tell us yours?

Pickleball is now the fastest-growing sport in America, with participation continuing to increase year-over-year. In 2021, pickleball grew by nearly 5 million players in the U.S., according to a 2022 Sports & Fitness Industry Association report. The sport has sparked a nationwide craze and is garnering interest in younger demographics.
